- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Preparation
- Place the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add the milk, oil, and egg to a large liquid measuring cup, and whisk to combine. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients, and whisk until smooth.
- Preheat the waffle maker to desired shade setting. The waffle maker’s ready light will illuminate green to indicate
- it is ready to use.
- Once preheated, pour a scant cup of batter evenly over the centre of the lower waffle grid. Spread the batter using a
- heatproof spatula to within 1cm of the edge of the grid.
- Close the lid; the green indicator light will turn off. When the green indicator light turns on again, the waffle is ready.
- Open the lid and carefully remove the waffle sticks. Break apart into individual waffle sticks and serve immediately.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
