May 30: Amidst the Australian Sydney Harbour setting, at the Gift Award Gala night, respected industry members recognised Cuisinart's Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker  as the Best Christmas Gift for 2008.

Covering all sectors of the Australian gift industry, including homewares and kitchen jewellery and fashion general giftware and garden and outdoor-related products and services as well as retail outlet and socially responsible categories, The Gift Awards 2008 entries underwent a two-tiered judging process, involving 33 judges from a diversity of backgrounds and expertise.

More than 200 retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, designers and industry representatives attended the black-tie event.
